LET’S CATCH UP

February has been such a beautiful month, with Tems winning a solo Grammy for her song “Love Me Jeje” for Best African Music Performance and Bloody Civilian winning a Grammy for her contribution to the Bob Marley: One Love Music which won the Best Reggae Album. We’ve also had beautiful music releases from the girls like Qing Madi, Bella Alubo, Amakah, Ayra Starr, Liya, Teni and many more. It’s been such a delight to see our girls winning, breaking barriers and creating the standard!

THE GIRLS‘ BIO

The girls’ bio segment for the first and second week of February featured the 2x Grammy winning singer, Tems and the Genius MD of Warner Music Africa, Temi Adeniji spotlighting these creatives and their global impact in the music industry. It warms our hearts when women use their talents, creativity and power to influence and inspire change.


EDUCATIONAL SEGMENT

The educational segment of the first and second week of February explores the Grammy Award Selection Process, Sync licensing and Songwriting where we give you an insight on how it works. Understanding the art of music and the business of music is essential to the growth of a music creative.

WEEKLY PLAYLIST

Every Friday , we release a weekly playlist with an array of old and new songs. For the first two weeks in the month, the playlist is curated by AGA but for the last two weeks, the playlist is curated by our community, feel free to share music by female African artists That you’ve been listening to, to get it featured on our Friday playlist.

WHAT’S NEXT?

We have more spotlights, playlist features, educational insights and fun contents coming up this February and also that special surprise is at the Ribbon stage, we’re getting to the stage were we reveal with some fireworks, wine and cake. Follow us on our socials to stay updated!
